It is responsible for identifying AFI projects and providing technical assistance for their design and successful implementation in all aspects.
It consists of:

Detailed financial modeling and optimal capital structuring.

Development of the financing proposal.
Achievements to date
Construction of a portfolio of more than 30 potential projects. At the moment we already have 5 nest projects being implemented in: Canada, Ecuador, Chile and Panama.
Selection of five pilot sites:
CANADA
Knowledge sharing to improve water quality, restore estuarine health, and generate essential habitat for migratory birds.
ECUADOR
Mitigation of risks to birds in the construction of power transmission and distribution lines serving the coastal shrimp aquaculture industry.
CHILE
Restoration of the Rocuant Andalién coastal wetland to reduce flood risk and increase climate resilience.
PANAMA
Incorporation of bird-friendly architecture and design elements at CAF headquarters in Panama City.
ECUADOR
Ecological restoration to promote resilience and water security of the populations living in the Andean Chocó, northwestern Ecuador.
